Bed, Breakfast & Barn

Is your ideal vacation one that includes the horses, the kids, and the dog for a weekend of riding ranch roads, and exploring the creeks and breaks? Here's a horselover's dream, a place to ride and stable with a comfortable house for the family and a hearty breakfast to boot.

The Bunkhouse: Modern 3 bedroom home (sleeps 8), one bath, a sitting porch, outdoor grill, and picnic table. Furnished with wagon wheel furniture and chuckbox pantry. On the walls are Western memorabilia and photos of the resident wildlife, such as beaver, mule deer, raccoon, bobcat, coyote, cottontail, and rattlesnake. A two-car garage doubles as a game room and a place to watch the "wild" turkeys stroll by or young whitetail deer graze in the meadow.

The Breakfast: A choice of Dutch-oven Sourdough Biscuits with Wild Plum Jelly, high-rising yeasty Cinnamon Rolls dripping with vanilla bean icing, giant homemade Chocolate Chip Muffins or the Hay-Hand Breakfast Burritos (sausage, cheese, potato, egg, onion, salsa). Served with fresh fruit or juice, milk, and The Taste of San Angelo Coffee blended with a hint of vanilla and cinnamon.

The Barn: Historic Tack Shed, Harness Room, Hay Barn, and Milk-cow Manger with spacious pens large enough to drag calves in. Portable panels also available.
